The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the borough streets for snow and ice removal, storm and sewer maintenance within the borough. Our crew takes great pride and hours of hard work to make certain that the physical comfort for the residence and visitors of the borough are met.

SPRING CLEAN UP DAYS:
Spring clean up days is held the First Thursday and Friday in May at the Waynesburg Borough Street Department Building between the hours of 7:00am and 2:30 pm. Any residence that would like items picked up the fee is $25.00 for ½ dump truck load and $50.00 for full load. Please call the Waynesburg Borough Office at 724-627-8111.
The following items will not be accepted: no hazardous materials, no paint, no tires, no microwaves, and no Freon items unless they have been tagged.
BRUSH AND GRASS PICK UP:
If any residence needs brush and grass clippings picked up please contact the borough office.
We ask all borough residence to bag grass clippings, brush may be loose. Please take to curb. We will not come on to private properties. These two items are collected year round.
SEASONAL LEAF PICK UP:
If any residence needs leaves picked up please contact the borough office. Leaves must be bagged and taken to the curb.
SNOW REMOVAL:
No person owning, controlling or occupying any lot, ground or premises adjoining or fronting any of the streets or alleys in the borough shall permit snow or ice to accumulate or remain upon the pavements, sidewalks or walkways in front of or adjoining such lot, ground or premises, for a longer period than 24 hours after it has stopped snowing or after the accumulation of ice.
